Glad to see a few Jeeps on this forum.
We also have a 85Runner ........... so we can go both ways...... ha !
I have a 88YJ with a lot of mods.......it has been doing great on most runs
just got back from TinBenders this pass month & was pleased with the new improvements ...... just added Staun internal beadlocks & they worked great (tires on 3psi)

87 XJ when I first got it.



Then turned it into a High SPL vehicle and competed for 3yrs. in USAC Outlaw SPL.




4ea. Memphis Mojo 15's with 2ea. 1500D's on each sub, 12,000 watts total. Highest SPL was 168.2dB's


Then went to a 16 volt setup with a adjustable voltage reg. & 4ea. PR1000's,





So then I fixed the shifting fork ,gutted the system and went wheelin,alot more fun.
Installed a RE 3.5 SF,OME shocks,OME steering stab.,JKS B.P.E.'s,JKS Adj. Trackbar,JKS Discos
10.5 X 31's on Crager soft 8's







Sorry for the long post, but the XJ & I have been thru alot together.
200,000 miles on it & not afraid to drive it anywhere.

Here my almost original '66 CJ6.  Original Dauntless V5, TH350, 32" BFG's, 2" Rancho lift. PTO winch, flip-out windshield.  Great cruiser.

Sorry, no pics but....'96 XJ bought pretty stock but,  have added: 3" Pro Crap lift 31 BFGs junkyard '87 XJ L/S Dana 44 w/Explorer discs (got less than $200 in that axle) factory skid plates and tow hooks (I love Pick-A-Part!) Still to come (If I can get it by the Mrs) 4.88s D/L / Truetrac 33s a little more lift, build some sliders and some real bumpers ,maybe a winch (maybe) and call it good. I have too many 4Xs already---------Hans

Just checking in.  Looking around at the Tech stuff.  I have a CJ/YJ, 4.o ltr, NP435, NP203/flipped D300 doubler, D44 and 9", stretched to about 103" wb.

Been toying with the idea of getting an 84-85 4Runner or later model and doing an SAS. Potentially looking for something a little more family friendly.  Nothing extremely hard core.

Former Jeep owner. Wanted a Toyota for ever, blow the motor in my Jeep, parted it out and bought a Hilux.
Jeep had a 3.5" lift, 33s and a front locker.
