Dump the K&N if it is only a replacement filter.  It isn't giving you much, if any power, and doesn't filter as well as other filter types.
It is a replacement filter, and I agree that it is probably not providing any significant power increase.  But based on the filtration I've seen it provide on my MR2, I'll leave it in place.  The MR2 has a cone style K&N clamped to a 3" inlet tube which I painted white on the inside just so I could monitor for dust, oil mist, etc.  After more than a year of running the K&N through all types of weather, the filter was filthy but the tube was still spotless inside and easily passed the white glove inspection.  I'll admit that this is not laboratory testing, but it's an indicator, and I was pretty pleased with the results.

Since you brought it up, K&N claims almost 26 horsepower from their FIPK kit.  More power is always nice, but this seems like an awfully big gain.  The stock airbox is pretty huge and I have to wonder where the 25 horsepower restriction is hiding - maybe in the snorkel itself, at the throttle body...?

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

nice project, I dropped my wifes down to 4" so it wheels more stable besides I like having all that axle droop. now she says she liked it taller, I bet not when we're out on the trail.

what axles & mounts did you use, looks good.
