When i pulled out of school today i noticed my 4runner(86, 22-rte turbo)  had no power, and then when i stopped about 10 minutes later smoke started to pour out of the engine compartment and out of the exhaust.  I shut it off and opened the hood, nothing visibly wrong, so i turned it back on and smoke immediately started to pour out of the number 4 cylinder and out of the exhaust.  Help!!!!  What is causing this?  Is my engine SOL or what.  Someone please help me out.

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

out of #4? did you have the plug out? other than that sound like your turbo seal whent bye-bye.

if you can tell some how that the smoke was coming out of #4 exh. port it maybe a bad piston.
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:
