Author Topic: CHEAPEST PLACE TO FIND GAS IN YOUR TOWN!!!! (Read 3197 times)

So there's been so much talk about gas prices I figured it'd be pretty cool if we could post up the cheaper/cheapest places to get gas in our towns. This rings especially true for me since just last night on the news I saw that Redding was ranked highest priced gas in California, lucky me I live here!!! This can also help those traveling through the area too, you'll get a better idea of where the "cheap" gas is.

Anyway, here's what I've seen in the last 2 days; saw $3.08 @ ampm on churn creek, but @ ampm at Bechelli/Hartnell intersection it's $3 even. If you live closer to Shasta Lake City it's also $3 even at circle K, and that's 76 gas too!!

Believe it or not Chevron and Arco and 76 are all tied here in Livermore at $3.05. I found it in Sac today at Arco for $2.92 and in San Jose at Shell for $2.91

I will never buy gas from Ampm. The quality just isnt there.

I'm 110% content with ampm/arco, it's 7-11 that I won't buy from

I used to talk smack about ampm gas, then years ago when gas prices started goin up I started using it. I've been into engines I ran it in for while and all was fine, and whenever I get into my current one I'll see what it looks like, but so far so good. No biggie, if it leaves deposits that just raises my compression anyway

Has anyone noticed that the gas companies that have not been affected by the storms have still increased their prices. WTF...........

did anyone realize the gas prices started going up right away and the gas they were selling was still the stuff the had already bought at a cheaper price to begin with? It's a buncha :bull crap:

I saw diesel at one station had come down 10 cents from yesterday, it was at $2.79. I just put $10 of regular in my Pathfinder for about that same price.

If you can find a 7-11 that's using Citgo gas, then that's some of the best gasoline on the planet, as I've heard, Citgo is a company that has sponsored Nascar teams and aids in F1 R&D and some F1 cars use Citgo fuels. Not to say that it's race fuel at the pump, but I'm trying to say that they've got good quality gas that you wouldn't expect to come from a quicky-mart.

And just to clarify, no, I've never ever used Citgo gas in my life

I used it and it was

too watered down. My car wasn't running right when I used 7-11 on a regular basis. when I stopped using it it ran fine

What I find is nuts is the truck stop next to my work has diesel for $3.19/gal and gas for $2.89/gal while the Shell and 76 three blocks away have diesel for $3.41/gal and gas for $2.99/gal.

2.72 a gallon at a few stations in downtown. everywhere else is 2.82
