Ok I bought this R&P off some guy and was told it was 4:10's....well I open the box and it's a 45:11 is what it says on the pinion doohickie.  I've never heard of this ratio...is this just a less specific version or what.... If I can't use it I'mma sell it but I am new to the whole gearing thing and feel like a dumb :moon:  so.... whaddya say?

Thanks in advance  :hammer:

45 teeth on the ring 11 on the pinion.

45/11 = 4.09090909090909090909090909090909090909090909...
wich most people sill call 4.10
you never heard of the 5:1 gear from advance adapter, well they are not 5:1

4.09 gears, are those for your front hp44?  i don't believe dana makes a 4.10 or 4.11 for the hp44, but they make them for the lp44 :psss:

kind of wierd, you'll be fine.  toy guys(mostly tacoma people) run 5.29 toyota gears in the rear and 5.13s or 5.38s in the front since there's no dana 5.29s out there.  probably not the best if you drive on the road but ok for wheeling.

No that's my next concern, whether or not this R&P is for a 60 or 44.  I need it to be for my rear 60...my HP44 is already at 4:10...or so i was told when I bought it.  I'll have to make sure before I go all out and do the rear.  :crossed:

Exactly what I was going to say....

My buddy is runnin 5.29 rear and 5.38 front. Crazy. I think jeeps are like 3.55 in the rear and 3.50 in the front or something too. Dont quote me on that but thats what i heard.
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

yeah, they dont have to be on the money just pretty close. there is some backwoods crazy hillbilly that runs a slighly smaller tire so that the gears match up. But his junk is pieced together from like three different makes of vehicle. do what you gotta do and get that truck going again!
