The motorhome is for the longer trips and the F150 is for the shorter ones.

Tool Pimp

Heres mine 99 3500 1 ton with air bags and a 4ft hitch ext. so I can still tow with the 11.5 Lance camper on.... Its old but it works

Rocksurfer

Here's my latest tow rig, can do some mild wheeling too.

These came with a great towing capacity, 5.9 liter V8 oversized brakes fully boxed frame leaf springs instead of coils. Basically a truck under a SUV body.

Dirty White Boy

I'll play...

Stock 2001 Yukon XL 8.1, except for the 19.5s and cranked t-bars. Eventually, I'll add some airbags and maybe a rear sway bar so it'll handle a 35-40' 2-car hauler. Gonna find some headers, some different mufflers (got my heart set on a couple of 3" Borla XR-1s), and a computer reprogram.

Got leather, comfy seats for 7, and rolls nice down the road (loaded or not). It's the nicest vehicle I've ever owned. :gap:

FJ40-GARAGE

It would be great to have a nice Dodge Cummins but over here in germany we use other stuff.  :dunno:

In that case its just our little T@B Trailer behind but the LR110 does even handle the bigger trailer with the FJ40  on it amazingly well.

Some pictures of the bigger setup with heavyer equipment will follow in a few weeks. ;)

It's nice to have a 21mpg tow rig.

CTENG in KS

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

5000lb load cap for the runner.
I've got about 4900lb load including the trailer.
Does perfect up to a 6% grade, after that it kinda sucks.
OD off and 60mph is the way to go on that.

notajeep

I am getting about 11 MPG when I tow this set up.  About 5k lbs.
You have a Jeep?  That's cute.... So does Barbi.

Really? Damn, worst I've gotten was 15 in a bunch of hills.

Is that sketchy at all towing with those runners? my dads 97 F150 with a 4.6 and towing my runner with trailer is kind of sketchy. He doesnt have a brake controller in it but man... I didnt even like driving it in town.
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

It is only sketchy if you have your load too far back.

I've got a brake controller and dual axle brakes on the trailer, so stopping is no problem at all. I would never tow with the 4Runner with out them.

As for take off power, it has pleanty, it kinda dogs going uphill if it is steep.

Ah right on... I figured that was the only problem was no brake controller.

Thats cool though. Ill have my buddy buy a brake controller and have him pull my 4runner with his 4runner :)

that is what most people think. in those years they have a wanna be solid axle. it is almost like a mix between a solid axle and ifs. i will have to see if i can find a picture of the setup. our 95 is the same.

Sure you're not thinking of the Ford Ranger with the TTB axle?
