lets see those pics of the crossmember and d-lines that you promised. Im curious to see. You need to take that thing out to the salt flats and tach it out. I see it now...Toyota madman wrecks 4x4 truck at 240mph! Sweeeet.

I'll post'em up as soon as I get a chance, things have been hectic since I got home. I don't think that poor old truck would make it to 240!  It would blow all to hell! But if you want to see it in action come to Tellico over Labor Day weekend!

How is it dealing with the second tranny worth of gears??

Nice setup.  What is your crawl ratio with reverse/reverse/low?  And how did you mate them?

Not too bad...I manage :)

In 1st/1st/low....it's somewhere around 150:1 with factory rear gears and stock t-case gears. I have a special adapter plate for it. If you look close in some of the pics you can see it.

I want to do it with an R150 next All I have to do is use a coupler like the one for the 4cyl t-case to v-6 tranny.

Kick ASS.  Now you can change tire size at will and adjust instantly with the rear (or fornt) tranny.

Now when you start talking about running an R150 in front of a W56, I get alittle confused.  What benefit does this buy over a w56-w56 setup?  The R150 is stronger somewhat.  Wouldn't you want the stronger tranny behind the weaker?  Anyway, cool nontheless.  Please elaborate on the adapters required for fitting an R150 into your equation.

Thanks for sharing :beerchug:

how is it that you go forward?

EDIT, oh, I guess the input/outputshaft/input/outputshaft combo would make that happen, wouldn't it?

I havn't crunched the numbers.. but wouldn't it have just been easier to get an adapter and go dual t-cases?

I understand your reasoning with having more gear selection but geez, with Duals you've got 15 forward gear. That seemed like more then enough for me... I definently give your prop's for doing something off the wall!

Did you build your own D-shafts or have them built?  I bet custom D-shafts wouldn't be very cheap!  lol

Can I see pic's of In-Cab to see where your shifters are located?

Easier, maybe.  but lets see:
3.93x3.93x2.28x4.88(for exmple)= is 171:1.  Not too bad, and the double revers gear is going to be even lower (I don't know what the ratio of reverse is offhand.)
Gotta to custom shafts if you go dual cases too.  So I don't see the point of contention here.  In fact, if the over length is longer, I think you'd be ahead of the game with longer front shaft; more travel, less angle etc.
When compared to a dual ultimate setup, it has to be WAY cheaper too.

On my "big project" I am doing dual R150s with a custom adapter plate and 23sp gear drive t-case. But heres the kicker. I am running 60/70 and 6.17 gears and also I am going to invest in an offshore gearset with a 4.0 tcase.

do that math....
5.15 x 3.83 x 4.0 x 6.17= 487:1  :yesnod:

if you want to get crazy think 'bout this
5.15 x 5.15 x 5.1 x 6.17=845:1! :yikes:
