Yes, otherwise you'll end up with a terrible shackle angle.

When I moved my hanger I used 3rd gen rears (51") and moved the shackle tube ahead 1" and up 1".  It has worked great from the start.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

So, is there a certain length from fronthanger to frame tube that everyone goes with or what. I'mm trying to run rs44044's in the front and move it as much as possible. Lets say they are (?) in length. How many inches do i add to it to determine where to drill the frame. I think that question makes it easier for me to understand. I 'm trying to get the perfect shackle angle when done.hopefully someone can answer that to make it easier for me and does anyone have any photos of the " Correct " shackle angle? Please post them up on here.

its simple.  Mount the front springs into your new hanger and put the axle and tires back under it.  Now put a couple short chunks of 2.4 wood between the shackle ends of the springs and the frame.  Now put the vehicle weight onto the tires.  Puch on the front bumper a few times to get the springs to settle a bit ontot he wood and mard the centerline of the shackle bolt onto the frame.  Now depending on how long of shackles you using measure ahead and mark where the new sleeve will go.  I usually run long shackles with the tubes higher up in the frame so I go 1 1/2" forward of the spring bolt centerline.
