I'm running them and they are great.

Good luck getting the snap ring in! :talkingn: I had to build a press to do it.

Holy crap you gotta be kidding me!  $170 for the setup?  Jeebuz the joint is $38 and they want $100 with the tabs welded on!!  That is pure fawking insanity.  $62 to weld 4 tabs....  Im in the wrong buisness.....

Seriously. I'm just too lazy to fab something that exact.
They work great, but I need to get a joint for the front of the rear spring.

A way cheaper and better way to go is with the rubicon express flexjoint. I bought 2 for 80$ and then i used a 2 5/8" holesaw and cut through 2"x4" 3/16 thick steel. The joints OD is 2 5/8 so it fits perfect.  Cut the mount how you like and weld them in. The joint is verry easy to put together and has a zerk fitting for greasing and when ever the joint becomes loose u can just tighten them and problem fixed....I dont think the  JOHNNY JOINT can be adjusted.

I've got some home made swivel shackles in the rear of my truck. A bud of mine has a johnny joint in the front of his rear spring and a swivel shackle in the rear, flex's like no other.

I'm thinking of doing  a similar design on my rear, but was wanting to mount the joint on the rear vertically like a buggy, with F150s. Think it will work?

I think its not noticable on the road but they do move a lot just driving my buddy has them on his and just following him driving around slow they go crazy expecially with a welded diff when he turns one way the both dump the that side but i dont really see much problems comming from that just kinda wierd.

there does seem to be too many people running them up front, are they that squirly? I planned on building them into my front shackles, instead of on the frame. my brother just finished his on his heep, they came out nice, but hasnt drivin it yet...I'll try and post a pic tomarrow.

I'd be careful running them in the front.  Everything I've read (no personal experience so take it for what's it worth ) said that the truck handles bad when you combine steering and corners.  You will steer the truck and it takes a second to flop the shackles over and then the truck will turn.  Trail only, you might be able to get away with it.
