Everytime I look at those hubs, they seem to get larger and larger!

This set-up is going to be quite the apparatus under my Yoder!

You can also see that I threw in hardware in the back side of the hub (or the front depending on the way you have them flipped, but for me it is the backside) where the drum brake used to be.

I know the hardware wasn't necessary there, but I figured it would add to the medieval/ Roman army/ deathly look.

I like the studded look and the new hardware could double as spares if I needed some hub flange bolts as well, so I guess it was a cool idea.

Check out those grease cans! I had even more all over the place, but I just wanted to show the 1 pound little tubs I purchased. Yes, I was adding grease by the pound!

I am at sixty-nine and three-eighths of an inch from wheel mating surface to wheel mating surface!

DANG THIS THING IS HUGE!

Here is a whole shot of the axle with the wheels I am going to run for a little while until I decide what tire/wheel combo I am going to run:

From edge of tire to edge of tire I am at a whopping ninety-two inches wide!

My brother measured somewhere around the width of his '87 second gen. from quarter panel to quarter panel approximately 66 inches. I may be incorrect on that, but that is what I believe he said.

With that said, I know the first gen. is not quite as wide and mine is really not as wide right now with the quarter panels completely off, so my cabin should tuck in nicely between the big, dumb, animal known as the ROCKWELL!

And somewhere in the mix, this ended up on my axle:

She is one of my brother's friends, but she asked if she could pose on my axle.

I thought it was hilarious.

Well, you understand then! HA! It just gets better every day! Everybody that sees that "HUGE APPARATUS" sitting in my garage is like, "What the hell is that doing there, what does it go to, and what are you doing with it?"

It is just hilarious.

Lately, the Rockwell has turned into a bench seat and more conversational material than anything else.

I promise I will get to work here shortly.

Well, actually, I have gotten a lot done to the truck and the toy axles, but I am just taking my time because I am waiting to collect parts.

Brackets Shackles cluster u-bolts

As you can see, I got the 'ol laser cutter to burn me out some brake brackets for the pinion brakes.

I was goofing-off and made some home-brew shackles while playiing with the "hole Punch" machine...HA!

I also got a newer cluster for my truck, but I am going to have to completely redo the dash because it doesn't fit where the first gen cluster sits!

As for the U-bolts, they are HUGE!

They are 7/8ths of an inch thick!

I do not believe I will be breaking those anytime soon!

Everyday, I seem to be adding to magnitude.

I am not going to have any heat, A/C, vents or any ventilation system of any kind.

Not having defrost should be fun!

I know it looks like the pulley is a bit tilted, but that is because it is.

I only had the motor mounts and transmisson/transfer case crossmember mounts tacked in and the left motor mount tack broke as did the right crossmember mount.

I had the truck at a friends and he only had a small 110 welder that was not very sufficient.

I was not familiar with that small of a welder, so that could be a reason for the tacks breaking, but don't be worried, I am getting near a larger welder soon.
