Help Catch a Theif!!!
« on: Jun 28, 2005, 01:32:32 PM »
What is the web address where you can look up if a vehicle has been smogged and it displays the city the vehicle is registered in?
I have the licence plate number 5ZEH014 It's a Blue Buick Century Late 80's Early 90's model.
We just had a guy steal 3 stereo's from in front of my work and the bastards got away.
This was in San Jose at Mabury & Timothy next to Hwy 101.

Please help.

Mini I typed in the license number and this is what I got.

Select Either License Plate or VIN then enter the value of the License Plate or VIN.

License Plate
 VIN (Vehicle ID Number)

License or VIN:

No tests were found for this vehicle!

Pass/Fail Code Definitions: P=Pass, F=Fail, A=Aborted

That's what I suspect too. My mom rented a Mustang convertable while visiting her mother probably 5 years ago and it lasted 10 minutes in the hotel parking lot. They found it 2 weeks later in an alley stripped.

Judging by the plate number they probably just got them from the DMV. They'd have to smog the vehicle with those plates on it for it to show up on the smog history. Don't know if it would have helped anyways, I smog most of my cars in L.A. and live in Santa Clarita. :dunno:
