is there a wider toy rear that can be used in an 84 reg. cab long bed that is a direct swap

any rear axle from a 4runner from '86 to '89 will swap directly, then any truck axle from '86 until present also will do. they are all 3" wider

Taco rear is even wider!

Taco rear is 60"
86-95 rear is 58.5"
79-84 rear is 55

Taco swap is not a direct bolt-up the pinion flang is a different bolt pattern. Call Diamond Axles and have anything you want made up for you.

the taco axle housing I feel is a bit weaker then the 86-89 axle..and the pinion flange can be redrilled easy to match your bolt pattern .

i have heard and seen several taco axles bend. i just put my IFS rear in my truck today!

maybe i have a different model or something cause when i looked at doing that I needed to modify the flange. Im glad yours worked for you.
