Well without turning this into a religious debate I can see having a cross and flag as being ok in my opinion because it symbolizes "Christian faith", so long as it doesn't become an idol of sorts if you know what I mean. I think names are the worst thing you can put on your body though. reguardless if it is your wife, kids, or grandmother. Those things can become idols very easily. Just my .02 I would love too see you get a cross that is unique from everyone elses.

Without turning this into a religion debate   I've got a few ideas that I have to narrow down, but hopefully I will be posting a picture here soon   That is precisely why I want the flag and the cross, to symbolize my dedication to my country and my Lord.

Having Spotter's name for me is a sign of respect and devotion.  I think it is very easy to turn anything into an idol.  I don't hink that it would make it more suceptible because her name is tattooed on my finger.  It is also a sign of dedication and undying love for the woman in your life.  For me, divorce is not an option, so I'm not worried about regretting the tattoo down the road.  It is meant to be there even when the ring is not.  When I am working, wrenching, whatever, that symbol will be there, unremovable, just as my love for her is.  To me, rings are a loose symbol of love, and commitment, they can be lost, taken off, etc.  A tattoo is there forever. Just my :twocents: on the subject

Just to throw a wrench at a monkey...um...monkey wrench...did you know that Spirit Worshipers often use crosses because it is sacrilegious.  I think that BD might find that in a book that I sent him.
:brick:  Ouch!! Watch it bd!!  :hahaha:

It really doesn't matter to me what spirit worshippers use to be sacriligous.  My cross would be to show my dedication to Christ.  I don't have to answer to anyone else for that, only God.

Your assumption is correct. The tattoo starts with a "C" instead of a "K", although there is no meaning behind that. The outline was drawn for me by a worldwidely know grafitti artist from Germany, Can2. And the tattoo was applied by Giant in SF at Everlasting Tattoo. Next place will be my arm. I want to put a character or a tribal symbol on my arm, but haven't decided yet.

Star Wars rebel alliance symbol on my right shoulder, peace sign in my right shoulder blade, sanskrit for believe on my lower back, and a celtic cross on my left forearm.  I am saving for a tattoo of a Bristlecone Pine somewhere on my body - maybe left lower leg.
