This story is a prime examply of why I am not fit to work on my truck, I'm too much of an idiot.  I am an engineer by profession, but anyone that has every worked with an engineer knows that we often lack "real" knowledge or ability.  The problem is that we love destruction and always think that we can fix the problem.

Friday afternoon I was using the vaccuum and kept thinking that it didn't seem to be working very well, I have actually had that feeling for quite some time.  In any case I finally gave up and started taking the vacuum apart to see if I could find anything wrong since the worst that I could do was destroy it.  I quickly noticed that the line was plugged top to bottom.  I wouldn't have felt too bad about it, but the first item that I pulled out was pine needles from Christmas.     It took me several hours to get the thing taken apart enough to get it all cleaned out and put back together.

I am now a certified mechanic for that model of vacuum.

Several months ago my wife was doing laundry in our new apartment and forgot to clean out the lint trap.  She was used to it being inside the door and simply forgot to check the trap on top, I have seen this happen several times so I wasn't too suprised.  The funny thing was when I pulled out the trap there was a blanket inside.  I'm talking several inches thick in mutliple color layers for each load.  It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen come out of the laundry.  We still have a chunk of it because it was too funny to throw away, nobody would belive it if they hadn't seen it.  I might be able to post a picture tonight to provide proof of this story.

we burnt my moms kitchen down while she was out of town.. teens stoned,,drunk and hungry for popcorn with a nintendo is not cool..forgot about the oil in the pan,,and viola,,,  FIEEEYAAAA...

we got the fire put out but it left the house black as night..so could we leave things alone?Hell no,,we start writing sayings and graffiti into the soot left on all the walls,,and it turned into a huge party..neddless to say the house was even more thrashed..Good thing my mom was an unterstanding parent..

Just as an example of some of the more intelligent complaints I've had to take care of...

One girl checked into the ER with a complaint "I can't feel my heart beating"
Another checked in because she had taken a sip of water from a glass that had soap in it.

It's truly amazing some of this stuff.
