Crawlin in South Dakota
« on: May 04, 2005, 07:12:22 AM »
Hello all, looks like everyone has a good time at this site.  My daily driver is a 89 4runner, custom brew front and rear bumpers and side bars.  Turbo Diesel conversion, snorkel,  4.88 gears, detroit lockers, and in the works is a double tcase and solid axle swap using all Marlin parts and going to 5.29 gears and high pinon.  Birfield eliminator, and several other goodies.

Where in South Dakota?  I make trips back to the black hills a few times a year to get my fix of quality rock climbing and wheelin.  The Black Hills 4 Wheelers are a pretty active group up there that host trail runs and stuff.  They also host the Dakota Territory Challenge, which is always fun to watch.

What diesel did you swap (the 2.4L Toyota from overseas?)

Welcome :king:

I am out of Pierre,  There is not much here close for trail runs.  I go out to the blacks hills and meet up with the Dakota Territory Cruisers which I am a member of as well as the TLCA.  I have some images from a few old runs on my website at http://www.ikerclan.com/4x4_page.htm

The diesel is the 2l-te version soon to be swapped to a 2lt-II basically I am removing the ecu driven pump and replacing with a mechanical version.
