about 15-20 miles north of Reno, take 80 into Reno then take 445 north towards Pyramid lake, left on Winnemucca ranch rd. follw that till the pavement ends and keep an eye out for it on the left

Im thinking about it too.  but James doesn't want to drive his truck all the way there.  I could prolly get my dads truck and barrow a trailor.  But don't know about James.

Snow should be mostly melted.  Gonna be in the 90's for the next couple days.  the only thing we have to worry about is the water on the trail.  Drive carefully, please don't hurt the trail.

that much snow pack will not melt in a few days. last year on Fordyce there was still 7-8 feet of snow pack and drifts at the top elevations (meadow lake)  and last year was way hotter longer prior to Mem weekend. A friend just went on a cleanup with Webilt last weekend on Fordyce and said that its still buried just up from driveline and thats pretty low.

Josh, ripped his chevy spring hanger off the frame.  It happened by camp so we drove it back and found a guy with a welder.

V-Rock.  I went up and down it about 3 times playing around.  Carnage for the trip.  Josh- ripped hanger off of frame, broke rear driveline u-joint in Little Sluice, bent clutch pedal when his truck took a dive into little sluice.  James- We think he broke the welds on his front spider gears.  Me- broke the drivers side visor clip trying to take my cd case off the visor, steering wheel is now aligned 90 degrees to the left (don't know why).  I also had my tent blown over and destroyed and broke one of my chairs i brought.

There was not a lot of people up there.  Sheriff's were having DUI check points, one by the second loon lake dam and i think the second one was on the slabs.  They were setting it up when we went by the second one.  We got to GateKeeper at about 1:30 am Friday morning (Yes morning, not afternoon).  We got to Spider at about 6am right when the sun came up.  There was nobody on the trail at that time, just peoiple camping along it.  When we got to Spider there was only about 6 or 7 rigs camping there.  Nobody had plowed the way to Buck Island yet.  We setup camp and went to sleep.  coming out we had to fallow a group of Jeeps, but they finally let us go buy.  There was snow patches along the trail.  Most of the trail was clear though.  But some spots there was like 1 or 2 feet of snow.  Most of it melted by the time we started heading back dow nthe trail today.

sounds like you had a good trip! i did fairly well on the hell hole trail only one break on the trail... i sheered a center pin but had an extra so it was no big deal. but coming home on the road i somehow sheered all of my rear driveline bolts!!! that sucked but luckily it didnt damage the driveline at all... so i took the front driveline off and used the bolts to put the rear back on and drive it home... diggity busted his rear pinion and greg had to pull him out which was pretty funny but other than that no major problems. we were talking about making a con trip in two or three weeks to so ill keep ya posted on that.

Sweet.  Sheared driveline bolts, i did that awhile back on the road doing about 45mph.  Scariest thing that ever happened to me on the road.  That sucks what happen to Jason's toy.

Some more pic from the PBB, i didn't take them.  One pic of Josh's truck in Little Sluice.  He got rejected and had to get pulled backwards.
