Rubicon: Memorial Weekend- Pictures!!
« on: Apr 10, 2005, 05:13:54 PM »
Who is all going?  I will be there for sure.  I did plan on going up thursday after school, but it looks like plans have changed.  The person i am soppose to take has a sister graduating from college on Friday night.  Looks like i will either have to come back out friday morning or just go up friday night.  Have to talk to some people.  Post up when you guys are showing up and were you will camp (guess).  also post a pic of your rig you will driving or riding in.

Gonna be there for sure. But we are not going to camp on the trail , hopefully right there at loon lake if we can get there soon enough.  I don't plan on goin in much further than the bowl, just hanging out at the gate keeper and run my mouth. But who knows

FOTR is asking this year that if you are making plans do go to the Rubicon for Memorial Day Weekend you think about an alternate location. There is currently (April 2nd) a 12 foot drift at the Chalet at Loon Lake. Current weather conditions are not melting the snow very fast and there was fresh 2 feet of powder on April 8th. If May is warm the snow will melt but the trail will be at it's most vulnerable as it will be saturated with water. So, if you are planning to go think about another place to go so the trail can dry, or go now as the snow is still deep and firm :usa:

thanks, Scott Johnston

Which Jaques?  I don't wanna be anywhere near Robert.  He is gonna be drunk as hell and will be bashing your truck if you get in his way.  He has got this "badass bumper" now and he wants to use it.

Yup, lots of snow Im sure.. I just found this thread, if I am not going to Texas that weekend, and if my truck is still in one piece, then count me in.

I'll run 'con or 4dice but I won't be able to take Friday off from work. So I would head up Friday night..

Hey, isnt 4dice up there off of I80? Pretty close to Rubicon right? Is the elevation lower or something because it seems if one's snowed out then both are
