Rubicon Memorial Day weekend!

its almost time again. just a few months left. hopefully some of you guys can make it back out again this year for memorial day.  probably go the same as we did last year, start at loon friday and come out tahoe side sunday morning.  hope to see you guys out there again.

i will have 2 sets of birfs this year with me...but i have longs now so im really not worried about it that much  ....no we only ran to buck and back and camped by the box...

it wasn't bad at all going thorugh and out tahoe side last year.  i think as long as conditions are about the same as they were last year we'll do the same again.

i'd like to go. i was there the year before and had an awesome time. last year i was in LA for a wedding but i heard the weather was complete crap and it wasnt that good last year.

the weather was defently crappy...hopefully its good this year. i believe we have a pretty good size group coming this year so far it looks like 8-9 rigs...

well, just a little over a month left! i'm going to make sure i have good axle seals before i go this time.  last year i flooded my font axle out, wasn't good.

as of now the back of the frame is cut off. i was gonna get it done no matter what, but now im thinkin i should take my time and if its not done by then, then its not done

less than a month left.  i really need to get on working on my rig.  its going to end up being a last minute fix again.

just talked to my buddy last night and he is going to check it out this weekend and see what its looking like.  i'm going home this weekend to pick up my truck and trailer so i can start getting ready.  everything is looking good.  have another friend that is going to meet up with as us at loon friday night.  just a couple of weeks left!

oh yea, and if anyone from bakersfield area is going, your more than welcome to join our caravan friday.

yea its going to be a last minute for me.....i tore apart my motor last nite to replace the head gasket and fix some other stuff.....

when it gets closer we got to figure out where to meet up at...

i still havn't had a chance to replace my inner axle seals yet.  hopefully i'll get around to doing it next week sometime. what day to you guys plan on being at loon?

just got back to bakersfield with my truck on trailer, going to fix everything it needs this next week.  after seeing steve's pics from this last weekend, i think i'm going to pull out my ecu and put it in plastick bag so if it goes under i'll be ok, i guess i'll have a little more to do now that i have to take water into consideration.

well, here is my list of need to do things before the trip:
-change inner axle seals
-build back bumper so i don't tear the bed off
-chain down motor mounts
-bag up the ecu
-.... i think thats it.

just checked the 10 day forcast, looks sunny from now til next wednesday.  thats as far as it went.  things should start looking drier by then.
