Hello,

I know there is a thread already about a 1kz-te 4runner swap but need to get my post in.(11)

Doing a 1kz-te swap into my 1989 4runner.  I bought a JDM motor tranny and transfer case from a Toyota Prado.
It is looking like the measurements are close if not perfect but the front diff is on the passenger side and the jdm  is on the driver side.  Can I swap the front diff to the driver side using a newer 4runner front diff?  I thought maybe I could just swap the shifter box onto the diesel tranny but the transfer case is noticeably larger on the diesel vs the 3.o v6.  Guessing there is a reason for that.

thanks for the help

You might consider looking to see if you could bolt your original transfer case onto the JDM transmission.
