91 toyota 4 Runner engine swap
« on: Dec 12, 2016, 01:17:12 PM »
Hello, Currently I have the dreaded 3.0l v6 in my 91 4 runner and at a stand still. I see some minor oil leaks and but never replaced a gasket myself and I don't know if itd be worth it at 220k miles. So looking into a rebuilt or a used swap 4-5k regardless on how I look at it. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should swap it for (ie. 22re or 3.4l v6), or should I just upkeep my current engine for another couple hundred or until it dies :smokin:?

Probably not, the 3.4 and yes, might as well run that sucker out while shopping for a good deal on a 3.4.  If it was me though I'd swap in a carb 22r but I'm crazy :).

should I use some Seal Blown Head Gasket Repair or a temporary alternative for the minor oil leaks? and do you know a site I can pick up an engine or look at decent prices?

Have you determined where the oil leaks are coming from
