90 4 runner engine swap?

I have a 90 4runner w/3.0 v6 and a 5sp

it has a blown head gasket ,

 I have a 22r ready to drop in but was wondering if the tranny would bolt up?

If not do I use a turbo 151 bellhousing to make it a bolt up?

How much 4 a 151 bell if needed?

Make sure you go to your local Toyota dealership first and find out if your vehicle qualifies for a free head gasket replacement. Toyota ran a "campaign" (different from a recall) on certain VIN #'s which include some 1990 vehicles and will fix your motor if it is the head gasket or head gasket related. This campaign has no expiration but is effective for certain vehicles only.

From what I learned researching straight six swaps, and I could be wrong, but the W series bellhousings are interchangeable, if it's pre-85 I think, you probably have a 22r ready to bolt to a g series tranny, in which case it might not work.  If I remember correctly though, my w series bellhousing would bolt onto a 7mge straight six, which usually came with r-series trannies, and I assume you have an r-151 so you just might be in the clear.  But I'm probably wrong, take it for what its worth.  My question is: I know the 3.0 is kind of a dog, but why man, why, as venerable as the 22r is, dude, for all the trouble, well, there's no replacement for displacement, even if it means fixing a head gasket. that's my .02.

THE TRANNY I HAVE IS A R150 , FOR A V6 3.0
CAN I SWAP BELLHOUSINGS W/ THE 151 TURBO 4 CYL . WILL IT BOLT RIGHT UP?  ANY ONE KNOW HOW MUCH 4 A BELL FOR A 151?

I think the trick is to bolt up a W series bellhousing to the R151 tranny,  and then bolt the 22re to the W bellhousing.  I'm just theorizing though from what I learned about doing a 7M swap.  Dont' take anything I say that seriously though, I'm basically guessing.  I still wanna know why your swappin from a 6 to a 4.  maybe that helps
