Topic: r452 5th gear upgrade for an R151

hi folks, i am new here,i will try not to stumble around too much!!
 i have an R151 gearbox in a 1989 surf with a holden ecotec V6, and i have tried the dyna R452 5th gear upgrade but the counter gears are different,can anybody suggest who is the best person to talk to about it?? cheers Mark

hi Dean,yep i am from Australia, i have read this thread at pirate, and have done the 5th swap and the counter gears are different.
 however i need to know how to identify which year my R151;s are i think one is 2001 and the other is 2009,

Over here in the States, we only got the R151F transmission in 1986 and 1987.  They were mated to the turbo charged 22RE.  Outside of those years, all other R series are the R150 series.  And the R150 series were behind the V6's.
