Greetings, I just picked myself up a new (to me) L52hd from a buddy choosing to 3rz swap his pickup. He told me the trans occasionally slipped out of first and 3rd when coasting. Just to be safe I went ahead and cracked the top cover to look at the gears and synchros, and they look brand new!

so I'm stoked on that. My buddy also told me when wheeling at hammers 2015 he actually chatted with Marlin regarding the issue and the big man himself said that tea early hds didn't quite have a strong enough spring in the top cover. I went to yank that out and boom! It's in 3 pieces. What have you guys done to fix the issue? Anyone know if Marlin sells an updated spring for these?
Also, I read on an older thread that Marlin made short shifters for the L52. Anyone know if that's true/ or know where one may be kicking around?
Thanks chaps!
