anyone know a place to buy steel in the sacramento area

this may sound stupid but i need steel to make things. where do i get it from. i'm in sacramento. i need square tube and all that... :flamer:
I'd like to quit thinking of the present as some minor insignificant preamble to something else~~~~~

look in the yellow pages under steel or somthing with steel i work at a place that sells it but im up in oregon so i dont think thats much help, just look through the yellow pages, some welding supply stores sell steel  :beerchug:

for shure!.  thats why i was wonderin if anyone knows a good place.  what happen did all the steel crops have a drought, are we making THAT many tanks and hummers?   :twocents:  when the price of making a flat bed reach the price of making a flat bed i'mma op for the hummer.   :smack:

just go hack up some old trucks, and take them in, they'll give some money for them, then go take that money to buy your steel ;)

anybody know what kind of prices you can get for scrap?  I've got some scrap from an IFS front end in the bed of my truck, and was wondering how mch I could get for it, if anything.  I've got upper and lower a-arms, and the crossmembers

Places round here (Pittsburgh, PA) are giving about $6-$7 per hundred pounds.

P.S.  I've heard the steel prices are high because of the Chinese buying up all the steel they can get their hands on.  Damn Chinese.....
