94 4runner SR5 family wagon

thought id start a build for my 94 SR5 4runner

had her for a few years and last mar/apr she finally blew a headgasket at 220K miles had her for sale with no serious interest so she sat till recently when I moved and now have a garage to work on her.

stock:
3.0 V6 auto
4wd IFS
4.88s

build plans:
3.4 swap
auto w/4.7 case
low SAS
lockers
armor

when I got here and threw on some 33x10.5s



been tearing into the last couple weeks couple hours a day after work

after countless hours and tons of research I finally have my wiring mapped out and ready to proceed


but now I cant find my wire strippers :mad:

started soldering the harness adapter tonight



about 90% complete need to lengthen a few wires and attach them to engine components but otherwise its done

got some more work done on the SAS



also cleaned up the oil pan/sump

found my thrust bearings in the pan aswell

ORS makes a conversation harness I'm just doing my build on the cheap but if I had the money I'd just buy the harness...

No pics but I did get the tach mod done thanks to a friend/co worker and got my interior back together other than the ecu and glove box area.

 still working on the exhaust so the engine isn't fully seated...

 waiting on an axle rebuild kit from marlin crawler so I can reassemble and mount the front axle.

 tossed a spare 4cyl 4.10 diff in the rear so I can make it mobile again and might run it till I can get a locked V6 3rd to handle the 3.4

got some more done...

got my marlin front axle rebuild kit last week

swapped over the 3.0 oil pan w/ new gaskets

got my frame tube shackle mounts even and square


hung the front springs


shackle angle looks good (4" shackle plates on stock 84 front sprinsgs)


front axle set in place


and finally got the rest of my dash back together and the wiring tucked away
