It's a special type of silicone. I will try to get the part number and some info on it today.

Marlin ussually has them, there are little bottles and I think he said they only go for like 5-10 bucks.  If they dont post call marlin and ask, Marlin swears that with a toyota engine that nothing is better than a stock fan and clutch.  SO he keeps this stuff around to keep the clutches in good working order

I didnt get a chance to ask Marlin about this before he left for TDS, and I don't know where he keeps his stash, so I'll have to wait until Sunday or Monday.

I know that its a special type of silicone. One time he ordered some Toyota black silicone and they sent him some strange clear stuff. Marlin called them back and asked what it was and the guy said, "whoops that's the wrong one, that's for clutch fans." I guess were not supposed to know about it ?? yet it's readily available at all dealers. I think they try to keep it a secret so they can just charge buko-denaro for new units.

I know toyota sells it cause I've used it too, infact I was gonna head down there next week and get another bottle.  If it wasn't his day off I'd have my brother get you a part number, but I'll ask him anyway and post it up.  You might wanna pick up two just to be safe, I needed a little more than one bottle last time but got by ok.  Oh, try the toysport site just for kicks and giggles.

OK - I got it - Toyota Part Number, drumb roll please, 08816-03001, and when we last ordered some, it cost $9.98 per tube, which is like 4 oz or something? I had to repair a clutch from a 22R-TE today and it took TWO TUBES.

Let me know what it costs ya, cya

Yup, that's the part number I found too.  I just found the old tube in my nut bin, but mine was 18ml instead of 4 oz.  I remember it being not quite enough to do one.

Im not exactly sure on the size, I forgot, but it took two tubes on the fan I did and when I tightened it down a little bit oozed out.
