Highway driving with Doubler
« on: Feb 21, 2014, 05:26:23 AM »
I currently run a 2.28 mated to a 4.70 case doubler, any issues running highway speeds say 70mph and up with a doubler?I drive my rig 30 miles to work but might take a 200-250 mile trip outta town and want to take the Toyota.

Change the fluids on a regular basis & you should have no problems. I have put hundreds of thousands of miles on mine including 4000 mile trip a few years back. I usually run 60 just because that's the rpm where it gets the best gas mileage. I also have 529's in the diffs.

I have the same setup in my DD.  I drove it from Washington to the rubicon for MCR12 wheeled and drove home with no issues.
