Anything of interest on Highway 5?
« on: Jun 16, 2010, 08:01:23 AM »
I'll be traveling from Disneyland to Tracy on Saturday.

Looking for photographic opportunities on the way, already plan on hitting Vasquez.

Is there anything else?

Take 99 and your can see a lot more.  Fresno is on the way haha.  Hell I'll even meet up with you for b-fast or lunch.  That will be a lot more exciting than the dreaded I-5.

You going to Disney, I'll be there on Friday as usual.....

Fort Tejon is at the top of the Grapevine, it's a quick tour and will break up the drive a little.

Avenal - LMAO! Might wanna take a prison tour while you're there :hammerhead:

Remember guys, he'll have 2 small kids with him. Not sure they'll find Hwy 1 as scenic as we would :hahaha:

My kids travel pretty good.
We already went down to San Diego with them without problem.
Guess we'll just jam down, supposed to take 4.5 hours to get there so we'll sight see on the way back on Saturday.
You can follow my trip on http://twitter.com/SimpsonBrothers
We'll be leaving around 1pm today.

Saw you, of course you know that. After we saw you we went over to California Adventure, they have a cool street party called Glow Fest and the new water show World of Color which is awesome. If anyone plans on going they have been adding a third show and staying open later. You must get a Fast Pass to see the show. Go to the Grizzly River Run and get them there. It is the only way to see the show, if you don't have a Fast Pass you can forget seeing the show. The only other way is to pre-purchase the dinner option for the 1st show. Costs about $15.00 for the dinner.
