If you decide you domt want to run the bed I call dibs on it. I'd like to put another bed on my 80. I hate the bobbed part but the dove i like. And she's a straight trail pig anyway so it would be just fine on there

I have an idea for that too! Just gimme time!

Finally got the thing running.. I was having some major issues getting it going the last few weeks. Turned out to be a broken wire inside the distributor.. Got it going but it's still not right.. Kinda skipping and wanting to backfire.. Gotta work the kinks out..

Do you need a dizzy?

I soldered it back together and heat shrinked it. So it should be okay.. I'm getting strong consistent spark across all 4.

I just want this motor to last another year or two.. i just hope the missing and weakness is not an internal problem.

The weakness could just be a side effect of the propane. It doesn't make as much power as gasoline in a gasoline engine. That's why most propane engines are built with a higher compression.

Not weakness like that.. With timing advanced properly, there's really not a power loss.

There's just something making it skip and it gets worse under acceleration that's what I mean by weakness..

I was just looking at your bumper, and didn't see from your pictures, how it won't just fold back into the grill if you hit something. How is it supported besides that flat bar it's welded to?

It's not yet. But when I add a winch plate it will be..

But you have to think. Most others aren't supported up higher either.. I don't really plan on hitting it up on the stinger anyways

Well dang..

Compression check went about like this:

1 - 112 psi
2 - 90 psi :(
3 - 130 psi
4 - 130 psi

So... Gonna try not to mess with the bottom end for now.. Wanna do a 20r head with a couple power as ons.

Hunter, do you by chance happen to have a 20r head? Possibly an intake?

If memory serves, I think toyota calls for a rebuild at about 125 psi.  Most mine have been 155-190, depending on the year.

My book said a minimum of 128 psi.

Well I don't wanna take your stuff if your planning on using it!

I'll search around and see what I can find. Just keep your ears and eyes open in our area.

If you wanna sell it, then I'll take it. But if you wanna hold to it, then by all means don't let me talk you into it. What cam does it have? Complete valve train? Gasket match porting? or like legit porting the combustion chambers and stuff?

We don't have any u-pull-it yards up here.

If you can find one and get it I'll pay you some for your time.. I'm lookin around up here but ain't find in much..

I honestly can't remember. The little celica my friend had it on was impressive. I'll keep an eye out. I might have 2 of them I'll have to dig through the pile of motors in the shop at moms.

Okay so I found a 20r head, 260 cam, header, and 20r intake.  Should be on its way tomorrow or Tuesday.. Guy couldn't ship it over the weekend & wanted to wait till his PayPal cleared completely which is understandable.

I spontaneously ordered a Nikon d3300 DSLR camera w/ two lenses (15-55mm & 55-200mm) last night!! It's supposed to be here tomorrow! Free one day shipping from Amazon! So hopefully my quality of pics will increase!

And here's my lathe I bought Saturday:

A little scotchbrite goes a long way:

I think it's gonna clean up really nice!

I also bought a 8ft x 3ft x 3/4" piece of steel.. It weighs 740lbs alone. It's gonna be my new shop table once I get a place to lay it so I can build legs..

Which is when the Samurai gets out. Worked on it again today. Just takes awhile to clean all those parts.. I cleaned on just one knuckle for nearly an hour.

Been awhile.. I got married finally, started a new job, and have been so busy I just haven't had the time like I used to.

Lost like half of my build thread because I reorganized my photobucket awhile back. I didn't really think about it screwing my builds up..

I'm slowly fixing it, but I don't have the patience to do it all at once..

So for an update...

Sitting in the shop like this:

Doing this as time and money allows:

Bent up this on Sunday (sorry for the craptastic pics):

So I cant mount my shocks like this:

Didn't get around to the upper mounts cause I had to go to work.

Been away for awhile.. Busy as crap with school this semester and haven't had much time to mess with my truck.

I got the motor back together this weekend. Couldn't get it to run. Idk what the deal is. Still messin with it.

I finished those rear shock towers awhile back.

Got my bender out and ready to go. As soon as I get it running good, its time to build a cage. I already have the lines planned out and drilled some holes in my cab and stuff..

slowly plugging away at it.
