That is super cool redneck. I really appreciate that. I sent you a PM.

As work on the truck continues. I had to cut a little out of my transmission  tunnel for my shift lever. There was a bunch of room left over so I made a template out of some metal flashing I had.

Have to find some better metal to make a finished one but the flashing was easy for a mock up.

You wouldn't happen to have a boot for the 4wd shift lever would you? My main boot is fine but I don't have one for the transfer case.

Thanks for that.

No, I am in the upstate, up in the mountains. It rained for several days pretty bad but not flooding.  Columbia and Charleston got the worst of it I believe.

Probably going to get some seats out of a 99' Honda Civic tomorrow. $40 for the pair. Should go in ok, yes?

When I went to look at them it seems like I should just have to flatten out one of the rear mount brackets. I guess I'll let yall know tomorrow. $40 for a pair of seats, I didn't think that was too bad. And they adjust in about 6 different ways.

What is the bolt pitch and thread for the seat holes on an 83'? Anyone know? I don't have one to match up.

I think 10mm 1.25 but don't quote me on that. It's whatever all toyota bolts are that have a 12mm head on them.
Goodluck with the seats. I got some from an early 90s accord and they were too big no matter how I built brackets I couldn't comfortably set in them. And I'm only 5'9.

Talked him down to $30 for the pair. Still have to pressure wash them. I hit  some of the grease spots with some stain remover. They should clean up nice.

1999 Honda Civic. I should be able to make these brackets work with a little modification. Rough fit is fine.

I think I am going to go with a gunmetal plastidip paint job with anodized bronze Mickey Thompson classic II's (I already have them though they are not on the truck now). It may be a while before I get there, but I think that that is an easy driveway paint job that might not look too bad. I have a buddy who has the spray gun already. I figured two gallons for the body and one for the wheels.

This truck is consuming every ounce of thought I can muster. I feel like a 13 yr old boy who just fell in love for the first time. I just like to hang out with it, tinker with it, think about what is next to come.

I also need to make some door panels. I thought about laying up some fiberglass over a piece of thin plywood or pegboard. I'm looking for ideas right now. I do not want diamond plate, I already know that, so I think fiberglass is the way to go.

I'll be making some for my 83 soon bur trying to duplicate factory as close as possible unless I can get some perfect factory brown ones.

Hardboard and 2mm foam covered in vinyl effect plastic, upholstery glue it all together...
Imma make a tool to follow the original lines in the door and press them in, thats the plan anyhow

That looks pretty good. Where did you get the sheets of plastic?

Big step today. I was able to move the truck under its own power. Thanks to my boy (8) who helped me bleed the clutch. I can't seem to get the brakes to bleed right. We fooled with it for about 2 hours and I still have no brakes. I swapped boosters and master cylinders a few times and still have no brakes.

Anyway. I moved it around the driveway.

Does it have a lspv under the bed, did you bleed it last, I can't remember where I bought plastic, most likely Lowe's or home depot

I removed the lspv from the truck when it was running.

Bleeding brakes with an 8 yr old may not be the best idea anyway, haha.

I think the master cylinder I started with had gone bad. I swapped the boosters and masters from both but ran out of time with the final combination. When I gat back to it, if I can't get it to work, I will get another master and see if that is the problem.

 I have been working 6, 12's for the past few weeks. No time to do anything with the truck. Hopefully we will be done soon and life will go back to "normal".
