I just re read throught the whole thread too. Weird...I started before yo posted back up so it took me a few minutes to find it...

Whats the plan on it now? or what state is it sitting in?

well still the same basic plans, tossing around the idea of a 2jz instead.... see what donor vehicle I can pick up for the right price..... also debating on running tons instead of the fjz80's due to steering upgrades and whatnot..... I guess I'll just let it all fall into place as time goes. I'm guessing it will sit a good two years before I will start building it, by then I should have a nice collection of parts to get it together!

As far as what state its in....

well its got the bed sitting on the back half of the frame, the front of the 85 frame is leaning up in between the bed and the cab which is on jack stands.......

I'll need to invest in a tube bender, welder, and plasma torch after I buy my house so I can work on it at home instead of at work $Beer Chug\'n$

Yep, and its regular cab frame. Boltin up the axle this week so I can roll it out of the shop and get my runner in there to work on the suspension and steering! been workin 7 days a week in the cold wet ass snow..... makin some good money though so I can have a good Christmas and get my runner back on the trails!!!!

well I sold the head and turbo after I found a nasty rust spot in the #6 cylinder so its all up to what I find.... I still have one 7mge TB/Intake manifold, two 7mgte intakes, one 7mgte exhaust manifold, 7mgte AFM, three sets of 7mgte injectors, couple 7mgte fuel rails, W58 without a bell housing, 7mgte auto tranny/TCM/torque converter/flex-plate, A/C compressor, alternator, then a bunch of miscellaneous brackets and stuff.... I actually wouldn't mind dumping the whole pile of stuff and buying a wrecked car with the whole nine yards.... Wiring, engine, bellhousing, then part the rest out. I'm heading to the bank on Monday to get my home-loan rollin and find a place with a shop so I can get down to business after work at my OWN shop, get some rigs built and do some side work to help with bills(my toys)..... $Beer Chug\'n$

because the original frame that I SASed was twisted all the way back to the TC crossmember.... Had to

section in a new front clip to correct this and what better than an 85 REG CAB front clip? already SA and ready to do what I need to do.

on page #9 when you repacked your front leafs which leafs did u take from rear?? my brother in law gave me his old leafs so ima be doing the same thing 92 RUF..... aslo im still debating if i should make hanger under frame or just drill frame and move hanger back?

also did you move front hanger forward right now mine is welded flush should i move it??

i pretty much staggered the leafs so there was a thicker one then a thinner one... gives it a more progressive spring rate with a nice smooth ride. I would also get some actual leaf spring paint, helps them slide on each other a hell of a lot better.
As far as your hanger location, that's all up to you. What tire size? How many leafs are you running? How high/low do you want it? How long of shackles? Lots of variables that come into play on your own wheeling preference. Basically just experiment with them and find the setup you like best. My

I'd personally move the front hanger forward and run the shackle bolts through the frame. The further forward you go then you can fit bigger meats. I'm getting ready to move my axle 3 more inches forward on my runner and drop the shackle back in through the frame. trying to lower it a few inches since I'm putting a cage in it and I like LOW COG.....

as far as tires size ima run 37 swampers, and yeah i guess ill take apart my stock 85 leafs and add 2 to each set.. "and i got 6 inch shackles i believe" ill probably end up moving front shackle like 2 inches.... after that ill see how it stands and how its sitting on shackles... then ill measure each side and drill frame and move it back..... also on those stock leafs i seen those "overloads" like you were saying that sit at negative arch...

yeah, no overloads needed. I run a 7 leaf pack with a 4banger.... some prefer 6 but it all depends on how thick your leafs are that you decide to use!
