Still a lot more cutting and grinding to be done.
Got a couple of metal fragments on my eye while grinding on the torsion bars brackets.  This despite my regular eye glasses and a full face shield.  Sucker must have snuck in the side when I turned my head.  More grinding this weekend if its not raining.

not sure.. i havent heard from him since xmas so not sure what the deal is..

Not much progress on the build as life and budget got in the way.
I was still collecting some parts.  Picked up a Sky-Manufacturing 3/4" drop pitman arm from Low Range off-road.

Also these followed me home one day.  Raceline 17x9.5 beadlocks



And a few days later some Procomp 40x13.5xR17 Xtreme MT2



Next to some old MTR 35x12.5xR16 on FJZ80 wheels

Still not finish but a lot has changed since the last time this thread was updated.  Will post more photos later but here are a few teasers.
Have not driven it as it has not be registered since 2017.  Also need to finalize everything on the 3.4 swap to get it to the referee.












For reference I'm 6'1" and it's not fully flexed out yet (the limit strap still has play)

Great flex! What did you end up doing for the engine/transmission?

The engine and trans is from my sons 97 4Runner that took an extended nap on it roof and side.  So it's a 3.4 with the stock automatic transmission (about 245k miles) with the Marlin adapter to my 2.8 x 4.7 gear t-case.

5.29 with ARB's front and back.  Will be taking it out later this week to test near the KOH area.

Thanks it has been a long process and still not finished.  I'm glad the housing is still going strong.  A few of the original old parts from this project are living on other Marlin members.
