I am finally facing my poor broken truck. Back in September I blew a head gasket and she's been sitting ever since. My original plan was to get the head rebuilt but after talking to many people I decided it's probably better to replace the whole engine. I keep hearing about these TARCO motors but I can't seem to find anything about them online. I've gotten a few quotes from other web sites and they all want close to 2000 dollars for the motor. I need a rebuilt 22r and I was hoping I could find one maybe 500-1000? Does anyone know where I should be looking? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I have a 22R with a rebuilt head and engine builder kit. Just needs a set of rings. Asking 450 for it all. Block is bored .20 over and has been honed. So basically it just needs to be put together.

I found a Davez (with a Z) offroad is that the right one? And do I need to sign up and create a user name to respond to the ad?

i just picked up a rebuilt 22re from United Engines in compton, ca. $695. comes with a 1 year, unlimited mileage warranty. if i remember right, they had the 22r's for $595(comes with older style head).

Looks like a good deal, I don't see any 22r's though. I'd love a 22re but I think that would be over filling my plate.

I don't think they list the older 22r(round exhaust ports vs. oval in newer 22r/re). call them and find out. My cousin just picked one up a 22r from them a month or so ago for $595.
