Did you have the firestik spring mounted? I heard if you don't spring mount them, they break easily.
yes, I have tried both ways......broke both times

my 4ft firestik is at the very rear corner of my bed, the other day when I sold a motor, the guy had me back into his garage which the doorway was only about 6' 5" and it barely cleard the top of my cab.

 So he bent my antenna at about 90* :shudder: (it doesnt have a spring) so I could back in and it didnt break. But I am goin to get a spring anyway just to be safe.

But basically, they dont break as easy as most say.
