whats the best 22r header for cheap?? im on a budget
i got a hedmen header and paided 160 brand new... i like it alot.. alot more throty sounding
really?? i didnt think hedman made toy headers
i believe ya, is it a shorty type header or long like the LC and downey headers??
does it have a good seal?? sucks its not a long tube but hey you could always lengthen the tube i guess
whats the best 22r header for cheap??
LC, thorley, downey, and nwor all make good headers for r series engines.
The 2 don't really go hand in hand. Glen touched on it, but a shorty header is little more than a noisemaker on these engines. Long tubes are what make a real difference, as does proper scavenging, which cheap headers don't have. LC, thorley, downey, and nwor all make good headers for r series engines.
kinda what i figured
did you notice a definate difference with your hedman
The head is where you're going to uncork your engine. Yes, pacesetters are junk, but if you look at them they're pretty dang close to the headman header, hooker too iirc. I'm running a nwor header now and honestly prefer the long tube 4 into 1 I had on before. It was a $35 junkyard header of unknown brand, but it both sounded better and pulled harder longer. Then again, my last engine flat got it compared to the current plant, despite having over 365,000 miles.
