Topic: Congrats to me!!!! I passed the bar!!!

You'll have to excuse me since I've been celebrating if you know what I mean.  I did it!!!  I passed the freaking bar exam, and on the first try too.  That is no small accomplishment if I may say so myself.  The test alone it tough enough, but I have a newborn too and its been so stressful for me and my family.  Its finally over.

This is so huge for me and my family.  I am so excited and wanted to share with all of you on the Marlin Board.  I feel so much better now about the time I spent here when I should have been studying.  Oh well, it all worked out.

Maybe now, or at least soon, I can afford to make a crawler outta my 87.  That is something I've been wanting to do for so long.  I just couldn't commit to the cost since my future was so uncertain.

Congrats, that's great news and a major accomplishment!!   

Gotta admit when I saw the thread title, I was thinking I've passed quite a few bars myself...  and gone into some that I should have passed!

Thanks everyone.

Right now I'm keeping my options are open, the market is kinda tough for young lawyers.  I would like to either do family law or perhaps some public interest stuff involving kids.  I spent time doing that in law school for a few firms as an intern and I really enjoyed it.  I also have done a lot of criminal law internships and liked it, so I may do that as well.  I spent 1.5 years with the county public defender and half a year with the federal public defender.

I have a good chance of getting a job with L.A. County, have made a few connections there.  But they only hire at cetain times and sometimes not at all.  Now that I know I passed the test I'm going to spend more time looking into it.  But I still need to be sworn in before its official.
