MOAB Pritchet Canyon
« on: Mar 28, 2008, 08:42:01 PM »
Today was our last day in Moab.  Some friends of ours finally showed up and wanted to run Pritchet.  Who are we to stop them. :greg:

Things were going great till we got to chewy (I think that is the name of the big potato salad like hill)  There there was a back up of about 5 rigs waiting for a bunch of rinos to winch up it.

From there we moved on to a no name ledge that is right before the slick rock area that is before rocker knocker.

Then the slick rock area and played around a little.

From there it was on to RK.  I had just climbed this last saturday, so I was certain that I knew the line and was stoked to buzz right up it.

But my good luck with the buggys shake down run had run out.  I had the right line, but it was not to be... got the front driver tire wedged pretty good in that hole, gassed it and SNAP!!!!
There went a 35 spline cromo yukon outer shaft.  So we turned around and came home.

You have a Jeep?  That's cute.... So does Barbi.

:ugh:
You can see that it twisted more than 180 deg before it snaped.  It was the "neck down" style and broke near the u joint end.  I replaced it with a non-neck down spicer peice that I got from Mt Logan.:squint:

nice pics, my buddy snapped a rear 60 shaft in 2 spots in the same place, the rocker knocker hates 60's
