Topic: motor swap question

what would i need as far as drivetrain to put a 2.7 tacoma motor in my 94 with the 2.4?  will i need to change the trans?  thanks for any help

i'm pretty sure you need the transmission too, make life a little easier and you wont have to purchase a bellhousing adapter!! its a manual right?? the 5 speeds on the 3RZ are way beefier than the W56's....... just my two cents!!

they are a little beefier,  but they are W59's  so  all you need is the bellhousing from the tacoma,  and bolt it to your w56

that sticker must add AT LEAST 50 horsepower!!!!! i need to get me one of those!!!

if you have the W59 then just use that......... beefier is always better.......

the motor will be out of a 2wd will that make a diff on the bellhousing?

Im pretty sure BigMike did a buildup on his 3RZ swap, might wanna check that out!
