if you use those, you are effectively shortening the amount of studs the lugnuts grip. if you use marlin, or all pro, or similar, they have another set of studs so that isnt an issue

thanks

edit: all i need is about .25in. of space to clear the arm once its lifted. im running a 4inch backing right now and if i buy the 1.5 inch ones from marlin, would it be wayy too much. becuase that seems a little nuts to me.

i would never use these... they are crap. talk to anyone in the tire industry about it... they are crap.. i have seen wheels fall off of cars because of those, and i have seen studs trashed because of those.... either get new wheels or get real spacers with their own studs. do not endanger yourself or others using the slip on crap

Yes X10, I've got 1.5" Marlins and torqued to 'Marlin' recommendations with no problems.

ive run 1.5s, 2s, and 3s, with no issues, for about 8 years now on a few different rigs.

MAKE SURE YOU TORQUE THEM TO WHATEVER MARLIN SAYS, NOT TOYOTA SPECS!!!!!

did you have to use longer studs (pressed in studs that hold rotor on) to hold those those 1.5" ones in place?  because the MC kit has new studs that hold the wheels on but not longer studs for the rotors.  :flamer:

Longer studs aren't needed. Use the supplied lug nuts to bolt the spacer to the hub. Use your lug nuts & bolts the wheel to the spacer. You now have 12 studs & lug nuts per wheel.

i have worked in the tire industry for 4 years at americas tire co. and have seen what can go wrong with running spacers and would suggest that if you need to gain some width that you never use a slip on spacer that just gives you less contact with the lugnut to stud.  for one you have less threads holding it on and the main cause for accidents is that you have decreased the strength of the stud and made it non hubsentric.  if you go with a product like marlin, allpro, or trail-gear  what you are doing is keeping it hubsentric, and with the added studs you arn't loosing any strength from the studs.  one of the biggest things is when you have the slip on spacer you are taking the contact point of the lugnut that is a cone shape and trying to tighten it to something that is now a flat piece and not recest to match the cone shape for a even distribution of weight causing the lugnut seat to move and loosin causing a wheel to fall off.  with the bolt on spacer they retain the same cone shape causing a uniform lugseat so that you have a strong grip and no chance of lossing a wheel as long as you recheck you lugnuts every now and then because the aluminum spacer will compress when you first install them making the lugnuts loosen.  the only fall back to bolt on spacers is that you increase stress on the factory studs slightly from increasing the leverage point of the tire.  i personally run 1.5" spacers on my truck and feel that there is no problem of running these and have never seen a problem with them as long as after 100miles of installing new spacers you retighten the lugnuts to 100ft lbs.  i hope this helps. ps sorry for the wording and spelling i have had a few to drink lol

ok  sounds good after that... i just installed these 1.5 MC on the front, and the studs on the vehicle do not go all the way through the supplied nuts and honestly they look a little scary because those hold the wheel on now. the supplied lug nuts look like they go on about half way until they are tight, anybody else have this issue

I have seen this before too!  Anyone else have info on this??
I guess you could have longer studs pressed into your rotors and solve the problem.
It takes a long time to achieve "instant" success.

Yes, get it fixed.  I believe marlin sold the correct lug nuts.
