ok my girl says she is getting me marlin springs for my birthday,so i got a couple questions.if i install the front 4 inch springs on my 85 runner do i have to use the marlin front spring hanger or can i use my stock hangers?will the shackles have to be relocated to mount the front springs.i plan on 4 inch fronts and the 5 inch rears,if i use the front spring hanger this will give me something like 5.5 inches of lift as opposed to the 4 inches the springs alone give, so it seems to me even with five inch rears the truck is going to  sit lower in the rear when the springs settle.i plan on running my 35 inch boggers until they wear out then going to 37s.thanks

hanger yes, relocate shackles in front no, 4 in the front and 5 in the rear is good, you have to relocate the spring hangers in the rear and the shackle mounts i believe!! no problems!!

ok thanks for the post.i am trying to figure out what extrs stuff i need to order besides the springs.im thinking i will need the front hanger,rear hanger and rear shackle mount.no front shackles need to be replaced correct?

might as well, get the 5.5 inch shackles

the front spring hanger looks like it would mount exactly where my factory hanger is now.whats the advantage to the marlin hanger?

moves the axle an inch and a half forward, and a little more lift/angle to keep the pinion angle correct!!
