new to the site.... lift questions
« on: Jul 16, 2010, 07:52:21 PM »
Hey guys I'm new here my name is Tyler and I am from the seattle washington area.... I have a 79 toy 2wd right now but am soon getting a 80 4x4 donor vehicle to swap my stuff onto(motor and bed and body).. anyways I want to lift it and have it flex pretty decent for as cheap as possible ... I can weld if I need to and I would like to run 35's... I have read people using f150 springs on front... but what on the back and is there more detailed info on this some where ?.... thanks guys

I've heard of people using F150 rear springs in the rear and using your Toyota rears up front but I don't know about using f150 springs in the front.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Yeah you have to relocate your spring hangers because they are a lot longer than the stock length springs.

Chevy 63's in the rear. And 2 stock rear packs customer fitted for the front. About $50 for the springs. Get Sky's chevy spring kit for the hangers and your ready to rock for super cheap..

O ya, they flex amazing too

I'd dare to say the rears up front and chevy's rear is probably one of the most popular setups to run. Pirate has some awesome faq's on both. I've been wheeling this for 4 years now with no complaints.

I'm not rocking 37's with no issues.

you could run chevy 63's and rufs or f150 and ruffs. 7 leaf wagoneer springs in the front with f150 or chevy's in the rear
