Ignition Switch Dilema
« on: Aug 30, 2007, 04:23:28 AM »
I have a 94 4wd 22re that needs an ignition switch, problem is nobody can get the correct one for me.  I've tried various parts stores and the dealer.  Basically everybody has on listing for switches, it goes from 89-95.  The switch I have only has seven pins in the connector, and the shape of the connector is slightly different than the I guess standard eight pin connectors.  Anybody encounter this and have a solution?  I may get wiring diagrams out and just switch out the connectors, other than those two issues they seem identical.

Thanks for all the quick help guys and gals.  I made a slight error in my description, they both have eight pins but the 94 has 3 on top 5 on bottom, where as the 91 has 4 and 4  :smack:.  And tallchevy thank you for that picture!  I have the top one.  We have an excellent foreign car parts dealer here, but unfortunately they only list one part number, which is wrong for what I need.  The dealer we deal with is also really good, but apparently not great.  Thanks again everybody.
