I did me research but still not having much luck coming to a conclusion on what's wrong.
I have a rebuilt 82 22r in my 81.
I had a coolant flush done at mr. lube here in Canada last week. Since then my truck has been blowing white with a hint of blue out the exhaust on deceleration only. The exhaust that comes out after deceleration has a pretty intense smell to it. I checked the oil cap and there's no milkshake but the oil does have a hint of gas smell to it. I don't have a loss of power and it still starts and runs great. It does run warm at highway speeds but cools right down when i drive inner city speeds. Sometimes there's lot of coolant in the overflow when I shut it down and sometimes there's none! so I'm not sure where it's going and how it comes back! It's been a pretty big mystery to me!
I had the timing set at 10 Deg then I backed it down to 5 Deg incase that was causing the engine to run warm at highway speeds but that didn't change anything except that it feels less peppy.
I'm due for my valve adjust next week and going to have the guys at the shop do some tests. Do you think it's the HG?.. Valve stem seals? Exhaust leak?
