Engine Problems!
« on: Jul 19, 2006, 01:04:24 PM »
Hey, i have a 22RE fuel injected engine out of an 85 pickup, here is the story.
I was driving home one night, and i was low on gas but really didnt need it. but then all of a sudden my truck started to act like it was runnin out of gas, kinda boggin and stuff. So i was thinkin man i am lucky, cause everything turned off, and had no power anything. i had to stop with the e-brake lol. but when i put gas into my truck, i tryed to start it, and it would start! so i pushed it over to a parkin lot and kept tryin to start it. but then finaly it started, but wow, there was a load ass noise like something was bouncing around. i took the valvue cover off, to see if it was like a sucked valvue or something brokin but saw nothin. any one know whats up? Thanks Jason.  :attention:
Nice!

kinda sounds like a spun rod bearing,  hows the oil pressure,  pull the oil filter and cut it open,   pull the fiber out and see how much metal is in it
