I was a jerk!
« on: Mar 23, 2007, 10:35:59 AM »
So I am at a stop light this morning at 7am with my headphones on, and I was gazing into my rearview checking out the 4Runner behind me and its light bar, when all of the sudden the driver waves at me... so what do I do.. I ignore him because I dont recognize him, then we drive off.. and I start thinking to myself, that the guy probably thought I was a snob because he was driving a similar 4Runner, yet close to stock, and mine has lots of goodies..  so as we were on the freeway we passed each other twice and I was hoping I could wave back and show that fellow yota owners are not jerks... but he never looked back over.. so this is to you my friend, sorry I didnt wave back! I like your Runner!

What are you doing with headphones on for?  No stereo?  Isn't that illegal?

When I see somebody wave, I automatically snap up my hand to wave back!  After I wave it's like, "Do I know them?"  If you ever rode a harley, or drove a semi, you wave at everybody!  At least he didn't go road rage on ya!
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!

:werd:  when we are driving the mammoth we get waves from other (cool) jeepers. I would never ignore someone. We need more friendship in the world.
I have gone so far to have taken to nodding and smiling at people in general whether I know them or not. Smiles are infectious, natures face lift.

there is a guy in our town that has a near mint '48 chevy pickup, and he's got stickers all over it that say "Buy American,"  "Remember Pearl Harbor"  etc.  He's the original owner, and is 87.  He still hates the Japanese, and the Germans.  Its sad, but man, what a clean truck

I use to waive at all the lifted Jeep guys in my town. But since I rarely got a waive back I stopped doing it. Almost like  because they have a Jeep they are better than me. :dunno:  I have been getting a few Yota guys waiving when I'm in my 80. None are lifted or anything and most of them are older but it's cool.
I don't need a winch, I wheel a TOYOTA!!!!!!!

I'd say just to be safe, have one ear free.. I'd say the left one.  That's what I do when I have headphones on.  Just keep em off of one ear, that way you can still hear :gap:
