do you get better gas mileage when u bump up the compression? i know u get more power, but i was curious the different ways to increase your compression, thinking about doing that to a diesel motor (probably a 6.5 turbo diesel) when i drop one in my suburban. (dont tell me the 6.5 is slow and weak, gets better gas mileage than any of the others, minus the 6.2, and gets quite a bit more power/torque with a turbo and a computer upgrade, just looking to get around 600 lb/ft of torque, nothing more)

That may be true, but they are prone to cracking the heads where the Injectors poke through.

the 6.5's? if you try to make some serious power of out them yes, but running around 30 psi of boost, 4 inch exhaust, intercooler, computer upgrade, and headers wouldnt cause that problem. i'd have to run an extreme amount of boost and other upgrades to do that. mostly i'd be worried about increasing the gas mileage and the torque, not to hot rod it, but for regular towing and crawling.

wait, nvm, i wasnt even payin attention to what u said, sorry. they are prone to cracking around the injectors stock, but if i do drop one in my truck i'll upgrade the head to prevent that from happening.

Was just watching the news, a gas station computer glitch had a pump charging .02 per gallon of gas. That's not 2 cents per gallon but 2/10ths of a cent per gallon of gas.

:woohoo:

To bad they caught it I'd be filling the motorhome for about 10 cents.

Key word here is "thinking" they'll be thinking until the elections, then they'll be forgetting.

yeah you're correct. I wouldn't want them to repeal that tax though because they will have to raise it higher eventually to make up for a loss of tax revenue.
