Was working with Big Mike on Deans rig last night, and realized I'm not the only one not prepared for this thing. They about talked me into going, so, I think I will.

Still need to mount rear shocks, pull the transfer cases back couple of inches, and re-seal Downey adapter, remove all the a/c crap for more air flow, install new idler pulley and belt on engine, and drive this thing and make sure it doesn't bust on me.

Also need to finish my half top and make the half doors, which are not going to happen. Darn!!!

There will probably be lots of you guys there without any doors right?

I am thinking about leaving my doors off. I dont have any half doors yet, I just wont run any doors. That's what Dean is going to do... and he said there is actually less wind without the doors compared to with doors and the windows rolled down. Go figure

I'm thinkin bout takin my doors off when I get on the trail...simply cuz they're hard to see out of when they're on (full doors), and I need the extra weight on the bed

Got my rock sliders the other day (yipeeee!) now I just gotta finish my rear suspension so I can start fabbing them up. Looks like I won't get to my OBA and center console before the trip, but oh well.

I got my front axle housing put back under the truck.  Now i just need to order up the new cromo birfs and then take out my windshield and i should be good to go.

well got my neww timing cover, water pump ,oil pump and timing chain set all put in only to test drive it ran killer .   Then get in it to drive to work the next moring and the cam gear shears off and all kind of nasty sounds came from the valves and it probably made it another ten feet before it locked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


         now Ihave a new long block and i'm scambling to get it done before the 10th so I can at least have some miles on it for run in.

Scored a spare 10 gallon tank Friday for $25 so the only thing left to do is load the truck and put it on the trailer, oh and take my Chevron card to counseling for the next week and a half to prepare it for the rapin' its gonna get

Yea, my MC is going to get a good gang bang as well. I'll try and remember to give it a kiss before I leave, and maybe bring some lube.

Got my rear suspension done and one rock slider mounted yesterday. Now i just need to get the other one on, and finish welding it all up. That is all to my "have to" list. The rest will be gravey, and I'll sneak into the garage to try and get some of it done. The wife is starting to fray around the edges about all the time I'm spending on the truck.
