« on: Mar 22, 2005, 03:10:22 PM »
The girl told me she wants to go camping really bad and with this week being spring break it all makes good timing.... Only problem is the location... we dont know were to go camping but if it werent snowing and so damn cold up by loon lake we would be there by now...   I dont mind paying over night...   I want to know were i can go within a hour from sacramento....   It will be about 3 cars with us so some of my friends and their girlfriends...   i was thinkin comanche resavoir but ive never been there.   any input would be helpful.... :beerchug:

ummm, let's see.....

off hwy 12 ( Lodi ) West is a few areas, one called Sandy Beach Campgrounds ( ? ), right around Rio Vista. Also, Lake Comanche SOUTH SHORE has camping, not Norht Shore, btw. It's easy to get to. Take Hwy 99 to Twin Cities Road, follow along until Alta Mesa Road, take a right. Cross San Joaquin County line, follow along until Liberty Road, take a left. Follow that along until you hit Hwy 88, after that, you should be able to figure it out. If you go South Shore, go right on hwy 88 from Liberty Road, then, at the 88-12 Junction, take a left. Then, once you get to Willows ( town ) take your first left, then follow that all the way until you get to the tollbooth. After that, youre on your own. :gap:
