Simple Dual Questions
« on: Sep 19, 2014, 05:44:30 PM »
I recently installed a 4.7 crawler between my V6 tranny and stock chain drive case. Marlin provided me with the right adapters. Install went great, first run out, not as much. No big deal, but two questions:

1) Developed big fat leak at one of the seals. Drained all the way in 24 hrs, drained a lot while on trail. Any hints to proper use of gasket material? I'm gonna take it apart and retry. Also, my mount screws loosened up, so i'm guessing that everything might have torqued a bit and ruined the seal.

1b) do you blue locktight every bolt when you install the duals? Seems like i probably should.

2) My chain drive was great at first, but started being hard to shift while on trail between 2H, 4H, 4L. Just took extra strength. Everything worked fine once i got it moved over. Is this normal or signs of it breaking? Like i said, once in gear it was great, but moving it between gears not so much. Thoughts?

3) Requested MC stickers with purchase and not sent. Anyone have one they can send me? Bummer to spend the money and not get to wear the sticker. :)
