I'll tow a trailer with over a yard of rock in it from time to time. The guys at the yard just shake their head when I pull in. Cause they still can't believe I can do it. Just take it easy, and plan out your stops!!

I've pulled a 16 foot fishin boat with my 4cyl 2nd gen 4runner. Pinned 2nd gear up a grade does great!

I used to pull my 18' travel trailer with my 86 4Runner all the time, as long as the trailer has brakes I don't see a problem.

I think DTB did a long haul tow just like that.
